Octopus 3 with Bionector is a polyurethane, transparent, supple multi-lumen extension tube for IV catheters (peripheral or central venous).
To identify the different infusion lines, each line has a hub or a clamp of a different colour.
It allows to connect to the catheter several independant IV lines.

Code 841.364 is a triple lumen extension tube with 3 Bionector and 3 clamps (green, orange and white).
Length of tubes: 10 cm / 10 cm / 10 cm
Code 842.312 is a triple lumen extension tube with 3 anti-return valves, 3 Bionector and 3 clamps (white, green, orange).
Length of tubes: 6 cm / 6 cm / 6 cm
Code 842.311 is a triple lumen extension tube with 2 anti-return valves, 3 Bionector and 3 clamps (white, green, orange). The end without anti-retourn valve allows the sampling blood.
Length of tubes: 6 cm / 6 cm / 6 cm

Used for central venous catheter care, Octopus 3 has the following advantages:

• Provides closed, neelde-free access during syringe bolus dose administration and I.V. tubing change
• Eliminates the need to use a 3-way tap to run 2 or more simultaneous compatible solutions
• Eliminates the risk of blood spillage
• Eliminates the risk of air embolism
• PUR material (no PVC, no DEHP – no release of softeners)

Anti-return valves avoid reflux of fluids or drugs beyond the valve during multiple infusions.
Bionector can be disinfected with most of the antiseptic solutions (example: 70% alcohol). Avoid using antiseptic containing both alcohol and oxygenated water.

Octopus with Bionector are also available with 1 lumen (code 5222.014), 2 lumen (codes 841.232/24/264/266E – 842.209), 4 lumen (code 842.414) and 5 lumen (code 842.514).

Venous catheter in fully radiopaque polyurethane with 2 distal openings (code 1272.04), with distal opening and lateral eye (codes 1272.14 and 1274.14/17). Smoothed distal tip.
Centimetre graduations 4 to 20 cm from distal tip (code 1272.04 and 1272.14), and 4 to 25 cm from distal tip (codes 1274.14 and 1274.17). Proximal extension tubes (PUR) length: 5 cm, with clamp.

Octopus 3 with Bionector is a polyurethane, transparent, supple multi-lumen extension tube for IV catheters (peripheral or central venous). Octopus 5 code 842.514 is a 5-lumen extension tube with a clamp on each lumen, 5 Bionector and 4 non-return valves. The extension tube without non-return valve (with blue clamp) allows blood sampling.

Two types of implantable port existing:

·         Standard implantable port with catheter to connect in silicone (codes VPE40010ECHO and VPE4008ECHO) or in polyurethane (codes VPE4017ECHO, VPE4018ECHO and VPE4019ECHO).

·         Standard implantable port with a pre-connected catheter in silicone (codes VPE41010ECHO and VPE4108ECHO) or in polyurethane (codes VPE4117ECHO, VPE4118ECHO and VPE4119ECHO).

Each Echo-guided placement kit Polysite ECHO contains:
1 – A pouch containing:

·         One titanium and POM (polyoxymethylene) standard port with a silicone septum,

·         One 60cm XRO silicone or polyurethane catheter. Graduation every cm with a numbered marking every 5cm from 5 to 40cm,

·         Two connection rings (only one for pre-connected references) with a Phynox thread containing nickel,

·         One straight Huber needle – 22G,

·         One vein pick,

·         For all non pre-connected references, one flushing connector preconnected to the catheter except for code VPE4019ECHO,

·         One peelable introducer – 17cm,

·         One 10ml syringe,

·         One Raulerson metallic guidewire introducer,

·         One J guidewire with thumbfeed J straightener graduated every 10cm (0.035’’– 60mm),

·         One echogenous puncture needle – 18G – 70mm useable length,

·         One tunneler Ø 2.5mm, length: 23cm.

2 – A CIV-FLEX Echoset containing:

·         One latex-free guidance probe sheath,

According to physician’s preference, the catheter is either detachable or pre-connected to the port.

The simple kit includes:

·         1 implantable titanium port

·         1 radiopaque silicone catheter, not connected to the port for codes 2215.014/.016/.017/.019/.216, connected to the port for codes 2215.024/.026

·         1 catheter guide

·         1 adapter to prime detachable catheters (codes 2215.014/.016/.017/.019/.216)

·         1 straight needle with Huber bevel code 1057.27 (length: 25mm, diameter 22G – 0.7mm)

Code 2215.216 contains the above mentioned components and:

·         1 tunnellisation needle code 2183 (length: 26cm)

·         1 IV cannula introducer, type Intraflon code 122.27

·         1 stylet (within the silicone IV catheter)

·         1 Hubsite needle (length: 20mm, diameter: 20G – 0.9mm) with Huber bevel and PUR extension tube for infusion code 1239.920

Leadercath + is a polyurethane central venous catheter, totally radiopaque, inserted in the subclavian or jugular vein using the Seldinger technique. The puncture needle is supplied with a (removable) BLS valve (BloodLess System) which avoids blood losses and the risk of air embolism.The catheter has centimetric graduations from 5 cm from the distal tip.Leadercath + has fixation wings and an integral polyurethane extension tube (length 10 cm) with clamp.The Leader-Cath + tray contains:

The Tuohy needle for epidural anaesthesia features:

• centimetric graduations
• a transparent hub to visualise any fluid reflux (blood or CSF)
• removable wings for easier insertion
• the heel of the bevel is smoothed to reduce the risk of cutting the epidural catheter
• a stainless steel stylet (except code 184.881: plastic stylet)
• the hub of the stylet is colour-coded according to the diameter of the needle and features a lug to indicate the orientation of the bevel
• extra-long needles are available for obese patients

Note: The Tuohy needle code 184.882 (18G, 8cm long) includes an opening in the curved distal end of the needle (also called back-eye) which is useful if the anesthetist wants to perform a combined spinal-epidural anesthesia.

Proximal connection

ENPlus connection mitigates risks of misconnection with parenteral solution bags. Enteral nutrition bags are available in 500 ml, 1200 ml and 1500 ml. The screw cap connection allows a direct connection to bottles.
